About Course

The need for health, safety and environment (HSE) initiatives in the workplace and on projects has in recent times become more evident to the government and organisations. The benefits of implementing such initiatives are evident in cost savings, increased staff morale, higher quality of deliverables, improved public perception and the protection of lives and properties.
Training is an integral part of HSE. To ensure the success of any HSE programme at the workplace or on project sites, adequate and effective training must be implemented for all those responsible for work and supervision. Training enables managers, supervisors and workers to understand the underlying principles of maintaining a safe workplace. It equips the workforce to develop and maintain a safety management system; it also gives them adequate knowledge on existing regulations (local and international) that apply to their area of work.
This course treats the fundamental principles of health and safety in the workplace. It examines the 8 principles of the safe workplace and introduces participants to the philosophy of health and safety at the workplace.
